GENERAL The School has an agreement with Makro and MySchool Card whereby we gain a rebate on all purchases made at their stores by our parent community. We appeal to you to support this initiative by completing the form to link your Makro/MySchool Card to The King’s School West Rand. In this way, you can become eligible for discounts and can contribute to the school with every Makro/MySchool Card purchase, with no extra obligation to yourself.
FACEBOOK : Please join and ‘like’ our Facebook page for daily updates.
TUCKSHOP : We run a cashless tuck shop! Children will receive a magnetic strip card with their photo-ID and once parents activate and top up the card, it can be used to make purchases at the school tuck-shop. Using this system, parents can control not only what is spent, but also what is bought! You have the capability among others, to set a daily spend limit, monitor your child's spending, place orders, set food restrictions (e.g. no fizzy drinks), set alerts for allergies and view reports/statements. Your child will have the capability of checking their available balance at a swipe machine outside the tuck shop, this card will greatly reduce time in tuckshop queues and your child will be able to benefit from weekly card specials. There is also the potential of securing group discounts at the local retailers in the area. This service is supplied by a company called lunchcard cashless schooling at no extra cost. Cards will be prepared for new students in the first term. Parents can then opt to activate the service by registering the card online at http://www.lunchcard.co.za.
